Just updated to IOS 26.1 Beta 3 (23B5064e).  Using the Public version of Tailwind.  Connected to Carplay with the Phone Screen locked.  Garage failed to auto open when approached.

Yesterday, I updated to IOS 26.1 Beta 3 (23B5064e) also.  My Tailwind is back to working as it should, even with screen locked.  It closes and opens with no problems.

Confirming that after updating from iOS 26.1 Beta 2 to Beta 3 on my iPhone 17 Pro Max that auto open and everything else is still working as it should with the Tailwind public release (non beta) app.

I downloaded Beta 3 yesterday and today the garage automatically opened. Thanks for the tip everyone!

Updated to iOS 26.1 Beta 4 (23B5073a) the other day.   Auto-Open is still not working.  It should be noted that I have two vehicle sensors in my profile.

Has not worked in any iOS 26 beta, and still does not work in iOS 26.1 release candidate.
Unable to add the sensor, when saving vehicle, it just repeatedly says to scan to add sensor.

Scott,  Can we please get an update on this?   The entire reason that I have Tailwind is Homekit Support and Auto-Open.

Mine's been working flawlessly since 26.1 (23B5059e), which was public beta 3 IIRC. If it's still not working for you on 26.1 beta or RC, it's possible you need to reset the TVS. Do a firmware update, turn it off for a bit, turn it on, then make sure you and your phone get far enough away from the TVS to let it reset.

I went about a half mile, but 20 metres or so should be enough. 😄

After the app was updated I have been able to re-add the sensor, will not be able to test functionality until tomorrow, but its a step closer for sure.

There was one small bug that I dont think will affect operation, but when I hit the "done" button on the vehicle list page, a progress message with the spinning arrow pops up breifly, then disappears. this can be done over and over. Hitting the back arrow however gets you out of the screen.

IOS. 26.1 has resolved the issue for me.  Auto open and close is back to working order.

Hi Scott. I got an iPhone 17 Pro Max a couple of months back. 3x since then (and most recently today when returning home from a run) my garage door opened as I approached the house. The app was not open and I didn’t have a vehicle sensor with me (the only one associated to my phone is on my bicycle that’s inside the garage). What’s happening and is it related to iOS26 (I’m running 26.1 btw)? I find this (seemingly random) door opening quite concerning. Thanks.

keefer147 Sorry about that. That definitely should not happen. Please open the Tailwind app on your phone as soon as possible. Tap "Settings" in the bottom right corner of the screen. Scroll down near the bottom and tap "Send bug report". Choose "Other". Fill in the details of what happened and what date / time it happened and then tap to send the report. Make sure you get a confirmation that it sent successfully. Then please email support@gotailwind.com letting us know you sent the report. Please be sure to email us using whatever email address you use to log into the app so our team can locate your account without having to go back and forth with you to find it.

Hi Scott,  This is still not completely fixed.  I have two sensors with brand new batteries.  Both sensors are bound to the same garage door.  Only one of the sensors works now.  The same 2nd sensor never works.  This was confirmed by swapping the sensor between cars.  What is the fix for this issue?   Again, iPhone 17 Pro Max on iOS 26.2 Release Candidate (23C52).  Latest Public release of the Tailwind App.

I have zero issues across 3 sensors

That also fixed the issue of *my* phone not working to open the *other* garage door with my wife's car/TVS.

Fixed after deleting the faulty 2nd sensor and adding it again.  Nothing to do with updating the firmware.

Updating the firmware whenever you are in the app is just a best practice. I didn't say it had anything to do with it, if you read what I wrote, "If it's still not working for you on 26.1 beta or RC, it's possible you need to reset the TVS." Reset.
