As we continue to make improvements to our services we will occasionally reach points where updates cannot be backwards compatible. At the time of writing this article in May 2025, we are rolling out an updated user account structure that will allow us to expand our services and offer our customers more options and features.
App updates will notify users that they must migrate their account to the new structure. This is not optional, and is a simple tap in the app when prompted. The app will take care of the migration automatically and will also push any necessary firmware updates to your devices (assuming they are online) to ensure compatibility is preserved.
Note that the upgraded account structure is transparent to you. When we say "account structure" we are referring to how our database handles account rules, logins, etc. This is not due to a security concern. This is strictly to allow us to bring you more features.
Once your account is migrated it cannot be rolled back. A migrated account is not compatible with older versions of the Tailwind app or device firmware.
These changes do not impact integrations with other platforms such as Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Smart Things, IFTTT, Home Assistant, our local control API, etc.

It would have been great to port over the notifications settings, I had to turn off 40 guest users notifications this morning as the porting process had turned them all back on.
Came here to say the same. The update also reenabled access to history for all our guest users.
Hi Guys. I looked into this and apparently this can happen if you upgrade but your guests do not. If their apps had also upgraded (which for many people happens automatically) those settings would have also remained as they were originally.
I've asked to have this looked at. I know this is a one time issue but I want it reviewed.
Sorry about that.
Almost every time i open the app, I have to wait 5 to 10 seconds to then receive gate seams to be offline. If I switch between my 2 tailwinds, it sometimes gets it connected but my 40 users keep telling me the gate is offline. Never had this with the old system so something needs looking at.
