UPDATE: November 19th
We received a response from Google acknowledging the problem is on their side and they are investigating, but no answers yet. It now appears that most customers experiencing issues are able to unlink and re-link their Tailwind accounts in Google Home, and for most customers this seems to restore functionality. However some customers are still unable to link their accounts and others are able to link their accounts but then door control through Google Home does not work.
You must make sure you have the most current version of the Google Home app. Older versions of the Google Home app no longer work properly.
Setting your PIN CODE
If you are unable to set your PIN code for Google Home in the Tailwind app by going to Settings -> Integrations, you can set it by going to web.gotailwind.com and logging in with the same email address and password you use to login to the Tailwind app on your phone. That web-based service allows you to not only control your doors, but you can also set the PIN code for Google Home.
Please also note that Google has REMOVED the capability to open a garage door or any other device that grants access to your home using a voice command in Gemini. The Google Assistant still allows a voice command to open the door using a PIN code. If you are trying to open your garage door using Gemini voice commands, it's not going to work - even using a PIN code. Google has also recently added a requirement to use the PIN code even when opening the garage door by tapping on the door icon in the Google Home app.
We have also discovered a bug on Google's side. If your Tailwind garage door is NOT assigned to a room in Google Home it might not update its status automatically. If you assign it to a room, the status DOES update automatically as expected.
Original Post
Google's service is down again. We have notified them. So far they have not responded to us. Most users will not be experiencing any issues as it mostly appears to impact the account linking process. We have received reports of the Google Home integration going down. When customers unlink their Tailwind account and then attempt to re-link it (which is the obvious troubleshooting step), the account linking fails.
This is not a problem with our services. This is a problem on Google's side. We are pushing them to get it fixed asap.
