New replacement Chamberlain opener
I replaced an older Chamberlain opener with model # B6650 Liftmaster. White learn button.
The Tailwind site says they can not integrate.
However I don't understand since the wall button is hardwired, why can't Tailwind simply tap into the wall control connections and send the signal this way? It's a simple connector switch.
The Tailwind app doesn't need to "learn" any new signal.
I even have the Tailwind j-track adapters already mounted because they were needed with the old Liftmaster.
Why can't Tailwind simply send a signal like the wall switch when using the app?

Hi Juston,
It's because the button only uses the wires for power. The actual signal is bluetooth, encrypted, and the garage door opener calls home and checks to see if the bluetooth device attempting to control / pair with the opener was made by Chamberlain. Even if a 3rd party manages to reverse engineer it successfully, Security+ 3.0 openers check for duplicates / clones and blacklists them.

The reason is simple Chamberlain wants your money and if don't pony up for there package they fix so you can't do anything to bypass them. I saw my door guy the other day. He said they are pulling out 1-2 year old Chamberlain openers that came in there new house. the main reason is the MYq and quality of product. do ma youtube search theres all sorts of issues.
