Yellow button opener - adapter LED/Battery

So I received the adapter fob for my yellow button opener and wired it per the instruction but nothing happens. Is the LED supposed to flash when there is a button press? Is the fob taking power from the module or the 3V battery in the fob? Could the fob have shipped with a dead battery?

  James,

  The adaptor has a CR2032 battery inside. Please make sure you do not connect any wires to your garage door opener when using the adaptor. The only "wiring" is between the Tailwind controller and the adaptor. The adaptor controls the opener wirelessly.

  When you press and hold any button on the adaptor for about 1 to 2 seconds, there is a small red LED light above buttons 1 and 2 that should illuminate. If it doesn't illuminate it unfortunately means that the CR2032 battery inside is dead. If that is the case please email support@gotailwind.com

  Wiring is understood.

  I ordered replacement CR2032 from Amazon which should arrive today, will advise it doesn't work/LED doesn't illuminate. I don't have a meter at home to check existing battery voltage unfortunately.
