Use Bluetooth to open Garage
I looking to set up a smart garage since my only garage remote fell apart recently (actually been interested in doing so before then, but that justifies the expense over other priorities). I am very interested in the Tailwind iq3. The one reservation I have is that if the Wifi (or Internet) is down that I (or worse my wife) will have to go in through the front door to open the garage (talk about your first-world problems right?). It seems to me there ought to be a way to open the garage door through the app using Bluetooth (authorized with a PIN or biometric for added security of course).
I suspect there may be other reasons for having such a function, ie letting it be a completely local system for those to whom that is important or desired. Any chance this might be added in the future, if not why? Thanks.

Yes local control is on our roadmap for sure. Tailwind is an extremely sophisticated system that uses pretty large databases to manage user credentials and permissions. The system not only needs to know which users have permission, but if they have permission at the moment they try to control the door. This all requires access to our servers.
That said, we do have a plan to allow users with full-time access to have local control. But people like cleaning ladies, contractors, etc who may only be granted permission certain days of the week or at certain times would not have the option of local control because the system needs to validate their request.
