    Hi Eddie,

Try opening / closing the door with your wall control or a remote. Keep the Tailwind app open but do not use it to control the door.

The app should update to show open within a few seconds of the door starting to open.

The app should update to show closed within a few seconds of the door closing.

If it does not do that there is something wrong with the door sensor, door sensor installation, wiring, etc.

If you unplug the wiring harness from port 1 on the controller (or a different port if you have multiple doors), and the door finally shows open in the app, it means something is wrong with the wiring or sensor.

Sometimes we find that customers accidentally drive a staple or nail through the wiring that shorts everything out, which will always show the door as closed.

If this doesn't help please email support@gotailwind.com

Check the distance between the switch and magnet. These switches are fantastic and the quality is that of some of the "safety rated" switches. Then it could be dead out of the box as it does happen.
