Hi Alan. Do you happen to know anyone that has an iPhone? If so, please use the Tailwind app on an iPhone. Log into your Tailwind account and try adding the vehicle sensor as you would normally do. Then log out of your Tailwind account after you have added it.

If that works you can then go back to your Pixel phone and refresh the vehicle list there and you should see it.

If that works I suspect some of the settings of the vehicle sensor might have been lost during the battery change. The iPhone version of our app has an automated tool in it that fixes this issue.

I'm not sure if this is what is happening in your case, but if you know someone with an iPhone it's a simple way to fix it and get back up and running.

    that worked.  Thank you!

Question on my droid.  If I have two vehicles that are actually the same vehicle on my droid, one tied to the puck and one to the stereo bluetooth, does that confuse the software?  I have not done this yet but I am curious.

    Hi Alan,

That will not confuse it. The vehicle bluetooth takes priority over the vehicle sensor, so if both are present and you configured them both as vehicles in the app it will ignore the vehicle sensor and follow whatever you configured using the vehicle bluetooth. The same is NOT true if 2 vehicle sensors are detected at the same time. If that happens while you are driving the app will not auto-open or close because it detects 2 configured vehicle sensors, which is a conflict.

It sounds like you're facing a common pairing issue after a battery renewal. Here are a few suggestions you can try:

    1. Clear Cache and Data of the Tailwind App: Go to your phone's settings, then Apps > Tailwind app, and clear both the cache and data. This will reset any stored information and could resolve pairing issues.

    2. Restart Bluetooth: Turn off Bluetooth on your Pixel 6 Pro, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes a simple reset of the Bluetooth connection can help.

    3. Forget the Sensor from Bluetooth Settings: If your phone sees the sensor but hasn't paired, try going into your phone’s Bluetooth settings and "forget" the sensor. Then try pairing again through the Tailwind app.

    4. Check the Sensor’s Reset Process: Some sensors require a specific reset process after a battery replacement (like holding a button for a few seconds). Make sure you’ve followed the correct steps for resetting the sensor.

    5. Reinstall the App: Uninstall and reinstall the Tailwind app to ensure there’s no corruption or issue with the app itself.

    6. Bluetooth Permissions: Double-check that the Tailwind app has the necessary Bluetooth permissions enabled. Go to Settings > Apps > Tailwind > Permissions and ensure Bluetooth is allowed.

If none of these work, consider contacting the app's customer support for more detailed troubleshooting specific to your device and sensor model.
