Sorry you're having trouble getting your Tailwind product connected to your WiFi network. There are a few ways to get it online ranging from simplest to more involved - obviously starting with the easiest first.
Solution #1
Please try cycling the power to your Tailwind controller and to your WiFi router. Don't press the reset / config button on the Tailwind controller - just see if cycling the power off and back on for your WiFi router and your Tailwind controller will fix the issue. You may want to try bringing your Tailwind controller closer to your router for this to rule out any possible interference from things like LED bulbs installed in the garage door opener. Those are notorious for creating problems - even if they weren't installed recently they can begin to cause problems over time as their internal power supplies change with age.
Solution #2
If you have a first generation IQ3 controller, please try a different power supply. Tailwind is powered by a standard mobile phone / tablet charger (non-Apple type). Any charger with a microUSB connector on the end and capable of 2A or higher (which pretty much all chargers are will work. There have been instances where swapping the power supply has fixed the issue.
Solution #3
Open the Tailwind app and tap on the "Devices" tab at the bottom. Tap the gear icon to the right of your device to get to the "Device Settings" screen. Then tap "WiFi settings" and follow the prompts. You will need access to your Tailwind product to do this. When it asks you to press the reset / config button please press and release it 1 time. It should flash blue slowly within 1-2 seconds. Please do not press and hold the button.
Solution #4
You might need a laptop or a tablet computer or tablet for this if it doesn't work with your smartphone:
1) Unplug the Tailwind controller from power. Wait at least 5 seconds and then plug it back in.
2) Press and release the reset / config button 1 time. Do not hold it down. The status light should start flashing blue slowly.
3) Go to your WiFi settings screen on your smartphone, laptop, or tablet and join the WiFi network "Tailwind" using password 12345678. If your see a message saying that internet is not available, choose to join anyways.
4) If a screen does not automatically appear within 5 to 10 seconds that shows the Tailwind logo and the available WiFi networks, open a web browser such as Google Chrome. Where you usually type a website address, please type in 192.168.4.1 and tap enter.
5) A screen should appear, showing all networks visible to the Tailwind controller. Choose your network from the list.
6) Enter the WiFi password for your network.
The Tailwind controller should now reboot and join your network. The status light will flash red and then change to solid yellow and possibly green.
Solution #5
This solution is a test to see if something in your network is blocking access.
You will need 2 mobile phones for this:
Set up phone A as a hotspot. Note that most phones require that you keep the hotspot screen open for new devices to connect to them, and iPhones require the "Maximize compatibility" option to be turned on in the Hotspot screen.
You will need to press the reset button on the Tailwind controller during this process.
Phone B should have the Tailwind app on it.
Connect phone B to the hotspot of phone A.
Open the Tailwind app on phone B
Tap the "Devices" tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the gear icon to the right of your Tailwind device.
Tap "WiFi settings"
Follow the prompts to configure the WiFi - but this time since your phone is connected to the Phone A hotspot, you are going to enter the password for that. Also - PLEASE do not press and hold the reset / config button. You just press and release it one time and then wait for the light to flash blue slowly.
After you complete the steps above the Tailwind controller restarts itself and joins the hotspot of phone A - remember - you may need to keep the screen open on phone A for this step to be successful.
If the Tailwind controller goes online (green status light), open the Tailwind app on phone B again to the "Devices" screen. Tap on your device. You will see "update firmware" there. Tap that. If there is a firmware update available please proceed with the update. Please give it a few minutes to complete. If you refresh the screen you'll see the "update firmware" message re-appear because the update didn't finish yet. Once it finishes you'll see the controller restart (light flashes red, then goes yellow, then green). Once it does that, if you refresh the screen in the app the "update firmware" message should be gone.
If you get to this point, you can already control your door but the controller is connected to the hotspot not your home wifi. Now you can put it back onto your home wifi at this point by tapping the gear icon to the right of your device in the Tailwind app and then tapping "WiFi settings" - but please make sure you press and release the reset button. Do not press and hold it.
If your Tailwind controller was able to join your hotspot successfully but won't join your home WiFi network using any of the methods above, please check your network settings for any security settings that may be preventing the connection.
