    Glad to hear it our last update with Apple's patch code is working for you Adrian. We are still having some reports of it not working and we know Apple's patch code is not perfect. However the good news is that Apple has informed us that there are "fixes" to their bugs in iOS 15.3. We've been testing the beta versions of 15.3 and found that to be true.

    So auto-open performance should go back to normal for everyone once they update to iOS 15.3. Hopefully it gets released publicly shortly.

    I am having issues all of a sudden for last few weeks.  Auto close works perfectly all the time but now auto open has quit working ever.  I tried shutting down sensor and checking its firmware etc to no effect.  Why would close work but not open?  I am on iOS 16.3 and don't think I have changed versions since this started.

    Hi Adrian,

    Sorry you're having trouble. We are going to release an app update within the next couple of days that might fix that for you. If it doesn't resolve with the updated app please let me know. We have some tools to remotely diagnose the issue.

    You'll know when the updated app is available because you'll see "What's New" when you launch the app. We are also going to send out a push notification when it's available.

    Hi Adrian,

    Please try the following so we can see what specifically is happening in your case.

    The next time you come home and the door does not auto-open please do the following before opening the door:

    Wait about 30 seconds outside the garage door with it still closed
    Launch the Tailwind app on your phone
    Tap the top left corner to get to the main menu
    Tap "send bug report" and choose "I arrived home a moment ago and the door did not open" and send it
    Then use any method you wish to open your garage door

    Please email support@gotailwind.com to let us know you sent a bug report. I will have someone review it and get back to you with our findings and what you may be able to check to resolve the issue. Please also let us know what email address you used to log into the Tailwind app as this will help us find the bug report.

    I am having a similar issue.  Since updating to IOS 16.4 neither auto close or auto open are working.  I used the diagnostic and although it shows the garage door is supposed to be closing, it is not closing.  When I use the diagnostic and return to home, the app realizes I am close but says it cannot send the signal and the door does not open.

    Hi Doug,

    First, please make sure you are running Tailwind app version V2.40. If you are still running V2.39 it's definitely not going to work with iOS 16.4.

    You can find the version code by tapping the top left corner of the app screen. That brings up the main menu and the version code is shown at the bottom of that menu.

    If you're running V2.40 and still having an issue, please send a bug report and then email support@gotailwind.com (see above comment for details). Someone will look into it for you and respond.

    I sent that report for you.  Funnily enough the first time I arrived home after I knew to send a report it worked!  First time in ages go figure.  But next time it didn't.

    Hello, having issues with my device. It will not open/close. I can hear it engaging then it say’s Locked out. I have restarted device & the app said updated for software.
