Cancelling The Partial Door Open Feature

I just tried out the partial door open feature (for a little cooling during our NW heat wave) and found it will not be useful for me with the 500 ms minimum. I have Genie fast open doors and at 500ms the doors open 20-24". I'm hoping for about 3", but 6" would be the maximum acceptable. Using the wired control button I can get as little as 2" by hitting the button twice quickly.

But, after having enabled the partial opening feature I haven't found a way to turn it off or disable it. I would like to have it off to prevent accidental partial openings due to finger checks on my phone.

  Hi Ted,

  The partial open feature is always on. You didn't enable it. You just selected the time you wanted. But it was always on and set to a default value before you changed it.

  I will ask the guys if we can reduce the time, and also have a method to disable it.

  Is there a way to disable it in 2024? I too would not want to finger checks by accident.

  HI Sean. There is no way to disable it. You have to tap and HOLD on the door icon to partially open the door so it isn't something that many people need to disable. It's generally quite a deliberate command to tap and hold on an icon.
