Can’t update firmware…

Recently setup my old tailwind again to use on my garage door. But when I press “update firmware” it says it will begin shortly then nothing ever happens, and the status led is solid yellow.

    Hi Guys,

    Please contact us at support@gotailwind.com and we will get you sorted out. Bottom line - you should NOT be getting an "update firmware" message at this time. If you are, support is the only way to correct it.

    I just set it up yesterday and I have the same firmware app message, and the light is solid yellow. What are my next steps?

    Contact support and they will arrange to have your module replaced if that's the issue.

    Krishnakumar,

    We are looking into this for you. We have a very small number of customers that experienced a firmware hiccup when updating recently. This is currently under investigation.

    I am having the same problem. I just installed mine last night and have the "Update Firmware" message but when I click it, nothing ever happens. All I get is a solid yellow light on the unit.

    Just closing the loop on this. Rh3774 issue was due to outdated firmware with expired security certificate. A critical firmware update from 2020 was not applied.

    Yep, Scott is correct. They sent out a new controller and the problem was resolved. Thank you Scott and Tailwind team for the response and for fixing the issue.
