We are releasing local APIs shortly so our customers can do a lot of things like this. Originally we were going to release APIs that were cloud based, but customer feedback was loud and clear - local. So we've built local APIs and they're about to go into beta testing shortly.

Robert, Hubitat is the way to go. I have been using it for nearly 2 years. It takes some patience but local control is wonderful. The most current model C-7 has the 700 series z wave radio. When Scott and his team release the api you will be able to integrate your Tailwind device into the Hubitat or any any other smart hub ecosystem.

Thanks Scott and James.  Ok...I think I need to explore Hubitat a bit more.  My main use case was Home Security and use the home security Hub as my smart home hub, James you are suggesting starting with a good smart home hub like Hubitat and build that out as a home security system.  I was leaning towards Abode since they have a ton of OOTB smart home integrations and of course comes with Home Security features like Arm Away, Arm Home, siren and an option for monitoring.  I don't care really about monitoring but Adobe let's you turn it on an off for a week here or there, which I might potentially use.  Curious on how easy it is to build a Home Security system with Hubitat.  Sorry if this topic has veered away from Tailwind!

I'm in this boat.  I have Hubitat + Tailwinds at home, and Abode alarm + Tailwinds at the barn (connected via VPN).  There is a custom Abode driver for Hubitat that allows limited interaction with it and Hubitat ([RELEASE] Abode Alarm system driver - Developers / Code Share - Hubitat).  I'm looking forward to integrating all that when the local API's for Tailwind are rolled out!

Also, BIG thank you to Scott for listening to his customer base!
