Just ordered 6030
Good Morning, I just ordered (6030) a controller and extra door mount BUT I have two question, I want to use a door mount on a gate but looks like I have to run it back to the controller. Do I need to order TWO controllers ? One for the garage door and then one for the Gate?
Second question, I noticed after I ordered that set up, I have the set up that says please contact us before you order, I did it backwards, I apologize for that.
Just want to make sure I have the correct equipment I need to make sure everything installs correctly

Hi Drew,
Probably best to email us at support@gotailwind.com on this one. There are multiple garage door openers that say to contact us prior to ordering, so we need to know which one.
The connections to the door / gate are wired with the Tailwind system, so you have 2 choices:
1) Run wires from the garage door opener and the gate opener to a central location where you will install the single Tailwind controller. This requires 1 Tailwind system + 1 door kit.
2) Purchase one Tailwind system for each. This does not require wires to run to a common location because you can mount one system in the garage and one at the gate. This requires 2 Tailwind systems. Please note that you need power and WiFi at the gate in this case. The Tailwind hardware also needs to be protected from the weather. Most people controlling gates just mount it inside with the gate controller (if the WiFi is strong enough to penetrate the enclosure), or they find another way to keep it protected with some type of enclosure.

I appreciate your help, I am current traveling for work so I will have them cancel my order and once I get back home (end of week) I will get the model and all that good stuff off the garage door and gate so we can determine what is needed for both. Thanks again for your response
