Two Users - One Car
I've read through the documents and forums, and didn't see this question addressed (though I could have missed it). My scenario is my wife and I share one vehicle. What is the best way to ensure that if either of us, or both of us, are in the vehicle, that the auto open/close will work?
Would it be that we both have an account, with the app installed on both (Android) phones, and both apps setup separately to pair with the vehicle? That way as long as either phone is paired with the car it will function?
I know that when we are both in the car either of our phones may be paired with the car; I just want to be sure things would work fine if we are both in the same car at the same time (or each individually).
Thanks,
Jody

Jody,
Tailwind handles this case easily. One of you is the device owner / administrator. Simply share access with the other person. Then each of you sets up the vehicle the way you want it to work for you. Then when either of you are driving, it does what you want as far as auto-open / close. When you're in the vehicle together it will execute whoever's command goes first. So if you're arriving home and your account is set up to open at 200 feet and hers opens at 150 feet, you'll hit yours first so your phone will open the door. Then when the vehicle hits 150 feet her phone will send the open command, but it will be ignored because the door is already opening. Same when you leave.
You can of course both log into the same account but then you can't tell who's opening / closing the door in the notifications because they all have the same name.
It's best for everyone to have their own account and their own preferences. Plus if there is only one person logged in as the administrator, nobody is going to accidentally change a setting and then wonder why something isn't working.
