    Wayne,

That's the default name assigned by the system. If your wife simply taps "edit profile" in her app she can then enter her name and it will appear that way on your app as well as hers.

Thanks for the quick response Scott.  I'll have her do that but what about for others?  It would be nice to be able to label them when sending out the access invites or even after they accept and create their account.  For instance, if I send out one to a pet sitter and then another one to the plumber or the inlaws it would be nice as the admin to be able to label them instead of relying on them to edit their profiles.

Agreed. That's on our to do list. You would essentially create an alias or nick name for them that shows up only in your app.

It would be nice to change "somebody" also. Being able to label it something like "Wall control" would help.

    Hi Warner,

The challenge with that is that Tailwind cannot determine whether it was the wall control, RF remote, keypad, or anything else that operated the door. The only determination Tailwind can make is "we didn't do it", so we apply a generic label to it.

Suggestion: can you change it from “somebody” to passive “the gate was opened/closed”? Would sound better for driveway gate that close on a timer. Use the selected animation to determine gate vs garage door

    Scott,

I get that. I was just thinking that a custom field would be nice. I would probably change mine to "wall control", but other people might put something else.

    Just a thought.

    Thanks

10 months ago it was listed as on your to-do list.
Has there been any progress on instituting this feature?
Also, is there a reason why your app is so slow to respond on older iPhone devices? My iPhone 7 seems to struggle with your app even though the app itself is fairly basic in its coding. Not sure if it’s a server issue on your end or what, but the lag time is difficult to deal with on occasion.
Lastly, I bought a vehicle sensor when I ordered my system. That sensor (though it has been updated and setup multiple times) will not work on my garage system to either automatically open or close either of my garage doors. I have tried to utilize this product on multiple occasions with no success whatsoever. It was purchased to use with my motorcycle, but I still have to open the app and go that route when I depart or return.

    Hi David,

We prioritize our to do list based on feedback from customers and bandwidth available on our team. This one is still on the list but there were other tasks that took precedence over this one, so it's still on the list. Please note that any invited users will have their own names. They just have to tap on "edit profile" and change the standard "new guest" label to their name and save it.

Can I ask what is slow to respond? We have tested it on an iPhone 7 (in fact my wife has an iPhone 7) and have not seen any performance issues. She also uses the auto-open feature daily on her iPhone 7 without any issues at all.

It would be best if you contacted support@gotailwind.com and we can help you figure out what's going on.
