    Hi Marco,

I had a look at the specifications for the Xfinity wifi pods and they show they have a tri-band radio, which includes 2.4 GHz. Tailwind works with 2.4 GHz only, but it shouldn't have any issues working with the Xifinity wifi pods.

This is what I get from Xfinity:

Note: If you have one or more xFi Pods, you won't see your 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi networks listed separately. Pods require that you only have one WiFi network name and password so that all of your devices can seamlessly connect to the network that will provide the best WiFi signal at any given time.

yes that is correct. They require that both your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi networks have the same name and password. Both still exist. It would be suicidal for them to not support 2.4 GHz as many, many, many wireless products only work on 2.4 GHz. Their customer support lines would blow up if they didn't support it.

I have used my Tailwind with the Plume SuperPods and it worked fine. I'm betting Plume makes the pods for xfinity

My problem is with Xfinity then. When trying to setup, I don't have the capability to select the 2.4 or 5 ghz signal because Xfinity automates this process. When trying to setup, the app won't find the network since it defaults to the 5ghz signal.

    Marco,

Sorry I missed your last post until now. You mean the Tailwind app is not setting up your device and can't find your wifi network?
