Incorrect WIFI Credentials Error
I purchased 2 sets of Tailwinds Controllers and door sensors. I installed the first one at my cabin and it is working great.
I have installed the second set of sensors and am now trying to set-up the Controller at my home. I am going to the "My Devices" page on the Tailwinds app on my Android phone. It shows my Cabin Garage device. I click on the + in the upper right corner to add a new device. All of the set-up steps seem to work fine and I received the happy successful setup sound on my phone. Then after several seconds, I see a message that says "Invalid WIFI Credentials - Try Again". The Controller light is glowing solid green, but I don't see the new controller in the Tailwinds App. I have tried unplugging the controller, waiting several minutes and plugging it back in. I have tried unplugging and waiting several minutes with my WIFI router and my DSL modem too. I have tried this set-up process at least a dozen times over the last several days. I even changed the WIFI password to make sure it was correct. The router at both locations is the same Netgear R7000.
It is useless at this point and I already went through and installed the door sensor and wiring. It also works so well at my other house that I would like to make it work here too.
Do you have any suggestions as to what might be wrong, or what I can try next?

Hi Tom -
I went back through my email and found the solution that worked for me. It is pasted below. Good luck.

Michael,
I'm not sure what exactly is going wrong in the process but it sounds like after you enter the WiFi credentials for the new controller something is going sideways. If the new controller stops flashing blue, then flashes red briefly and then turns yellowish / green it joined the WiFi successfully. The next screen that should come up in the app is where you enter all the relevant information like number of doors, scan the QR code, etc.
One thing you could try is the following:
1) Tap the + sign in "My devices"
2) DO NOT press the reset button on the controller, but just leave it powered on and yellowish / green status light
3) Tell the app "yes the flight is flashing blue" (it isn't - but tell the app it is)
4) The app will as to re-scan, so re-scan
5) It won't find the device and will give you instructions on an alternate method to pass the Wifi credentials to the device. Completely ignore it because your Tailwind is already on your WiFi network. Just tap "skip" to get past these instructions until you get to the screen where you enter the name of your device, number of doors, scan QR code, etc. Then do those things and save it. This will add the controller to your account and you should be good to go.
I have no idea why it is giving you that credentials error, but the controller is joining your WiFi, so the steps above should simply navigate you around whatever is causing that error and get you to the screen where you enter the device information.

Hi Tom,
The reason I didn't post a response here with much detail is because troubleshooting wifi connectivity issues can be complex. I didn't want to post a bunch of things to try without an understanding of exactly what was going on in Michael's situation. The most basic thing to try is cycling power to the wifi router and the Tailwind controller and trying again.

I'm running into the same issue. First time install (though I purchased my iQ3 about a year ago). I'm getting the wifi connection error during setup, but the controller goes solid yellow and I can see the device MAC address connected on my wifi network. There shouldn't be any connection issues on my side as the subnet I have it on is completely open to the internet. I even tried assigned it different/known good ip addresses from my router. Device is registered to my account and shows up in my app but I can't do anything. I'll be opening up a support ticket shortly.

I am facing the same issue. It used to work fine and then suddenly it started flashing red one day. I rebooted the router multiple times but had no luck. I tried to add it again but it keeps flashing blue and I see the error that "Incorrect wifi credential". Please help. I am not able to use it for a few weeks now.
