"Open" notificaTION NOT working, but "Close" notification is working
Love your product! Already recommended it to several of my higher end clients in Beverly Hills. Anyway, the app will not notify me that the door is open, but will notify me that the door is closed. The Tailwind is installed on a gate, not a garage door. The sensors are a half inch apart, exactly, and parrelel. I followed every FAQ, suggestion and tip for resetting, clearing, and setting up my ANDROID phone, but nothing has changed.
The app does show the door is open after what seems like a prolonged time, and then almost immediately after the gate closes the app shows the door as closing, but I never get an announcement that the gate (door) has opened.
This is an important feature to me as I am a Private Detective with an office in my home, as well as a guest bungalow where I sometimes house battered women and/or their children, and sometimes stalking victims. Only knowing when the gate is closed makes me grab for a weapon, not a smile as a visitor comes down my unusually long driveway.
Please help! Thanks.

Jake,
This is a very unusual problem. We have not heard of this before and it seems most likely due to how you are sensing the position of the gate. We will absolutely help you get this working.
Please contact us at support@gotailwind.com so we can run through a few checks with you, but I can suggest something right away. Please have the app open on your phone and then use your gate remote control to open and close your gate. When the gate opens, you should see the door open in the Tailwind app within seconds. When you close the gate, you should see the door closed in the Tailwind app again within seconds.
Also, for gate installations we recommend using the pre-installed gate position sensors whenever possible as they are inside the gate opener housing and therefore more secure by nature than any externally mounted gate position sensors.
