Auto open close not working on android phone (not sensor)
I have successfully setup the device and it works fine when I press the open/close feature. However, I cannot get the auto-open/close feature working. I have followed the steps for all the permissions that are outlined in the help app. All settings match (I've done it 3 times) yet the door never closes or opens. I am sure there is a step I'm missing somewhere and I've tried watching the videos (but some are no longer available), reading the instructions, reading these support posts, and just generally troubleshooting. I'm quite technical so this is extremely annoying because it should be so easy. :( It also annoys me that I cannot call and get someone to help me solve what is probably a very simple issue if they could just point me to the right place or ask me the right question. Nothing in this support forum seems to help me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9. The app is installed and works fine when I'm in the app. I've had the app open when I drove away and when I come back. Even with it open, nothing happens with tailwind garage door.
I'm about ready to return the device which is a shame because I generally like the ability to check my garage door being open. I just would buy a cheaper one if this auto-open doesn't work right. I'm sure it's my fault, I just can't figure out what it is!
On an unrelated note, is there a way to change notifications to only notify if the door is left open? I don't want notifications every time it opens or closes?

Dale,
Sorry your auto-open is not working properly. We can help you with that. Auto-open is extremely reliable, but on rare occasions we do need to see why it's not working for certain users. It sounds like you’ve done everything right. Could you please do me a favour so I can help you with much better accuracy?
The next time you come home and the auto-open does not work, please do the following:
1) Open the Tailwind app as soon as is practical on the phone that should have triggered the auto-open
2) Go to "Send error report" in the Tailwind app main menu
3) Fill in some brief details about what just happened, and tap "Send error report"
4) Send me a message at support@gotailwind.com letting me know you sent the report so I can immediately go in and have a look at it.Auto-open involves a number of technologies including GPS, Bluetooth, mobile internet connectivity, as well as a few settings on your phone.
