    Curtis,

Thanks for that suggestion. That could be a good option for us to still comply with UL 325 and still get the feature you want.

However, you don't have to cycle the power to clear a lockout. All you need to do is open / close the garage door using your wall control or any other control method. When the controller detects that the door has been cycled, it clears the lockout.

Some customers also plug the Tailwind controller into a smart plug. They use the smart plug to cycle the power to the Tailwind controller.

Oh yeah...., I knew that a manual override clears the lock. Wasn't thinking when I wrote the suggestion. It was more less when you have to reboot due to a bug or if you are away from home.
    Thanks for the consideration.

This would also be handy when dealing with other issues, such as "Offline", rather than power reset.

    Thomas,

We already have this feature done. We are testing it internally and it will be included in near-term updates.

    Hello everyone!

This thread was exactly what I was looking for.  I replaced my GoControl opener with Tailwind and a few months ago and absolutely love it.

I am using WebCore/Smartthings integration which will auto close my garage door after 5 minutes. I run this in the winter because my garage is heated and I have family members who love to leave the door open.

Today I noticed that my garage was left open and the tailwind app displayed that the lockout message. Other than using a rather expensive smart outlet to power cycle the device, are there any plans to allow this to be done from WebCore/Smartthings?

I do see that "Restart Tailwind device" has been added in the Tailwind app, and I know you can manually open/close the door to clear the lockout. I am just looking for a more automated approach.

    Thank you,

    Kevin

    Kevin,

If you use the Restart command in the Tailwind app it will clear the lockout and then you can try again to close the door in the app.
