Remote Battery Life
I got a Tailwind back in May of this year and since I have a LiftMaster garage opener I had to get the external remote to operate the opener. It’s been just over five months and I am having to replace the button cell battery in the remote for the second time.
Am I really expected to disconnect and disassemble the remote 4+ times a year to replace it’s battery? It’s bad enough I have no way of knowing if the remote has died or not short of going up on a ladder to check; if this is how I’m expected to support my Tailwind device going forward I have to say it’s pretty f-ing unacceptable.

I got my tailwind just under 2 years ago and have replaced it once about 2 months ago. I keep seeing these posts and videos etc. They all say that 40% of all batteries are dead or only has enough charge to pass the test that the factory testing. Now I haven’t seen any hard documentation on so it could be a load of BS. I know it happens more often than not. The batteries are hard to find. There is a setting in the app to save battery life.
