    Hi Steve,

This sounds like the force detection is triggering on your garage door opener. Have a look and your downward travel setting and your force detection setting for your opener.

If you think the Tailwind controller is doing it you can unplug it and see if the issue persists.

    Steve,

I had a similar issue with my old opener. The prox switch that senses the carriage position at the drive unit wouldn't make and the carriage would hit the end of travel switch on the drive unit. Then it would bounce back past the prox then close and open. This little stunt would go on for 5 or 6 cycles and at times I would hit the wall button to stop it when it closed. It was a real B to track down. The local Genie service guy came out to replace the switch. then tried to tell me it wasn't it was installed wrong on the terminal strip. He gave it more close force instead of less and 3 days later something let loose in the gear box and literally blew the thing apart. The main reason I had him out was to see if it was fixable so I was already looking for a opener. So I bought a Linear DC motor and belt drive and its is super quiet.
