Hi Charles. What is it showing? Some random value? Some insanely high value? 0? Also, what is the GPS accuracy showing when this happens? If the GPS accuracy is showing as poor, the reported speed values could be way off because they rely on GPS.
Distance seems to show accurate information and garage door opens after I have pulled in. The mps doesn't go above 5 mph.
So it sounds like everything seems to be working except that it is showing the wrong speed? Are you using Android or iOS? I haven't heard of the speed displaying incorrectly before so this is a new one.
Using Android on Samsung S21 Ultra with 2022 GMC Terrain.
We have not been able to reproduce this issue testing with a S20. If your auto-open is working properly I guess it doesn't really impact anything. Our team has never heard of it showing the wrong speed as the speed actually comes directly from the Android OS. We do not calculate the speed we just display whatever Android tells us it is.
Definitely weird. All I can suggest is a phone restart.
When I run the diagnostic, it doesnt recognize speed or do anything.
Hi John. What kind of phone are you using? Also, does the tool show that a vehicle is detected in the top left corner?
I am using a OnePlus 8. The tool shows nothing in the top corner
Does it at least show "Looking for vehicles / sensors"? At the top left it should show that it is searching for vehicles / sensors, and then when a configured vehicle is detected it will show the vehicle name there. But it will only show it once the phone is connected to a vehicle you configured already.
So on Android you pair your phone with your vehicle first.
Then you set up that vehicle in the Tailwind app
Then make sure your vehicle is on and your phone is connected to it via bluetooth. Once it is connected via bluetooth, you should be able to launch the diagnostic tool and see your vehicle name in the top left corner.
