Problems with vehicle sensor after battery update.
Hello,
I have two Tailwind vehicle sensors in two different cars. Both sensors have been working perfectly for the past ~8 months. I have been very happy!
This past week I received notifications to change the battery in both sensors. I replaced the batteries this morning. For one sensor, the battery replacement went just fine. After I replaced the battery, I could bring up the "Sensor Diagnostics". My phone would connect with the sensor and display the appropriate information about battery life, etc.
For the other sensor, the battery replacement went fine. The sensor turned on/ off without trouble. But I am having issues connecting with my phone. The symptoms are as follows:
* Selecting "Sensor Diagnostics" will not connect with the sensor.
* Trying to select "Update Sensor Firmware" does not connect with the sensor.
* I tried making a new vehicle. I found the sensor and it appears to connect (it is named "MkiBeacon_00000"). Selecting "Sensor Diagnostics" displays the diagnostic information, but when I pick a setting and select "Save Settings" I get an "Error Incorrect Password ----" (or something similar).
* Attempting to Update Sensor Firmware connects OK on the new vehicle profile, but has the same "Incorrect Password ----" error as above.
So - in summary, it appears that the vehicle sensor can be detected by my phone (and will probably work OK for remote entry?! - though I haven't confirmed this yet). But I can't change the settings, update the firmware, etc.
My question - is there anything that I can do to update the settings and firmware?
Thank you very much in advance! I very much like my Tailwind system!
