MyQ, Liftmaster and Tailwind

I have been using Tailwind with two garage doors without any issue, excellent product!  This week one of my garage door openers died and was replaced with a Liftmaster 8355 that has MyQ built in.  I have used MyQ in the past and Tailwind is much better but does not seem to work with the new Liftmaster.  Is there a solution?

  Are you already using one of Tailwind's adaptors for Chamberlain garage door openers?

  Nope, just the normal Tailwind setup.

  Assuming your 8355 has a round yellow Learn button, it sounds like you need a Tailwind Chamberlain adapter. You can get it directly from Tailwind -- contacting them; the item isn't on their product page -- or from Amazon.

  I've got one on order, so can't comment on adding it to your GDO system, but there's at least one topic in this community section that discusses it.

  Should add that since you have two dissimilar GDOs, one being a Chamberlain product, you should ask Tailwind whether there's anything you need to know about interfacing an adapter to one of them but not the other. Probably a rare situation.

  Hi all, just to follow-up, I ordered the adapter from Amazon.  Installation took less than a minute and I am back up and running!
