Lockout happened to both garage door
Both car garage doors were locked out today when tailwind sensed car approaching (we have proximity sensor in our cars), both door opened half way and locked out. I had to use remote or wall control to open it. Per instruction on tailwind app, I restarted the device, that did not work. It locked out the doors again after restart. I unplugged power, waited 10 sec, plugged it back in, that did not work either. I cycled door using wall control while app was open per recommendation, that did not work either. Is the firmwire corrupted? How do you re-install firmwire? I tried using "update" on app to update app, that did not work either. Help!!!

Hi Ekchu,
You may want to try emailing support about this.

Hi Scott,
I read the article u sent me and I have tried all the options to restore tailwind but no success. My lockout is caused by “the garage door opener is not responding”. It happens when I used the app directly to try to open the door. The door opens and closes perfectly if I used the wall switch or the remote. I suspect the tailwind base unit firmware may be corrupted, is there a way to restore the firmware or download it again. If the answer is no, can I just buy the tailwind base controller from you without the wires and magnets. Can you send me a link to do the purchase? -
Hi again,
I think you have mistaken me for Scott Riesebosch part of the official Tailwind team.
I am just a regular end user like yourself that pops in from time to time to see if I can help others.
No idea about the firmware myself, but if you have poor WiFi signal in your garage that could be the cause.
If you open and close the door with the button does the status change quickly on the app?
