Schedule for detection vs schedule for notifications
I did not receive a notification last night that our door was left open, and I think I know why but want to confirm the behavior. And maybe see about a change.
Our son came home at 6:14 and left the door open. In the Tailwind events history, I can see that it detected the door left open at 6:23 and then again at 6:28 with the text "we won't bother you again". These didn't appear as notifications on my phone, and I think that's because my notification schedule in Tailwind is not until 8pm. Is that all working as expected?
The problem is that it's expected for the door to be open for long periods during the day, and I only want an alert if it's left open into the night. The behavior I expected is for the schedule to determine when monitoring and detection happen, not just mute notifications. So, it should ignore the door all day long until it begins monitoring at 8pm to see if any have been open for longer than ten minutes. And after 8, I would get an alert if the door is left open regardless of when it was first opened. If the schedule determines when detection happens, I don't think any separate schedule on notifications is needed.
Does that make sense? Is there a way to achieve this behavior that I overlooked? Thanks.
