Wiring Type? Looking to extend
I have a second garage door that I’m trying to reach, and I want to be able to go through my attic to keep everything looking clean. However the supplied cords are not long enough to run to that second door’s motor. I was thinking that I could just cut the wiring and then splice in my own to give it a extra long reach, but I wanted to make sure that I got the right type and gauge that would be compatible. Any ideas?

Hi Chris,
You can use just about anything because it is very low voltage and low current. Anything 24 AWG or larger would be fine. Some customers have even used CAT5 ethernet cable. The main thing to make sure of is that you don't run it right next to AC power wires as they can induce voltage into nearby wiring.
