Verbal Notifications not working on iPhones

Hi Everyone,

Verbal notifications are currently not working on iPhones. We have identified it as a new bug in a Google service that we use for sending notifications to both Android phones and iPhones. We, as well as many other companies, have reported this new bug to Google and they're working on fixing it. In the meantime, Google has provided a workaround and our team is currently implementing that workaround to get verbal notifications working on iPhones again.

Go figure - a Google service update broke verbal notifications on iPhones but kept it working on Android phones.

We will get the verbal notifications on iPhones working again as soon as possible.

  This issue has been fixed.

  James I'm not sure I understand your comment. This topic applies only to verbal notifications not working on iPhones recently. The notifications still worked, they just came in with the standard notification sound instead of the voice. It appears you have an Android phone, which would not have experienced this issue.

  Hey Scott, I have been using the beta version of Google and Google Play Services. I have not had any problems with opening or closing our garage door. My device is a Verizon S10 5G.
