Is there a time delay on vehicle sensor after auto-close

With school starting, I am noticing my auto close works when I take my son to the bus stop, but auto open will not work when I return 1-2 minutes later.

Is there a time delay where the sensor auto-open will not function because the auto-close just completed?

  There is no time delay but there is a minimum distance you need to travel before auto-open is authorized. By definition auto-open works as you arrive home - so that means you need to be away from home first and then enter the area. The GPS on phones can have some pretty large errors, so we require that you be at least 1,000 feet away first, and then come home.
