Make my own security adapter with extra remote

Getting ready to setup tailwind on two doors with yellow buttons. Can I solder into an extra garage door remote instead of a wired switch? This way I can do both doors with a single switch.

  Absolutely you can, and it's completely free because you don't need any extra parts!

  FYI if you didn't have an extra remote laying around, there are some available that are pretty cheap that can do the same thing  :)
