iOS 18: Widget Compatibility

I recently updated to iOS 18. With the new OS, Tailwind is no longer a selectable option as re either a widget or an Apple Shortcut. Any idea of when the app will be updated for compatibility? Thanks in advance.

    UPDATE - November 11th
    The updated app has been released. You need to launch the app at least one time BEFORE trying to add widgets or set up Shortcuts. The widget is compatible with iOS 18 and Shortcuts have also been restored. Note the widget does NOT work on the lock screen, only on the home screen.

    Personally I think it's pretty cool that we got this done in a relatively short time frame given the extensive re-write needed. From what I've seen online there are smart home device manufacturers 10,000X our size that have basically said "meh - not doing it" when asked about getting their widgets working again in iOS 18.

    I want to personally thank our software developers that got this done!

    UPDATE - November 7th
    This should be released hopefully on Monday. The widget is done and working. Shortcuts are done and working except for one minor bug we are ironing out.

    Yes we are working on this and will have an updated app available as soon as possible. If you do a search you'll see a lot of posts about many widgets disappearing in iOS 18. Apple deprecated the type of widget we had and unfortunately nobody caught that it was being removed from iOS 18. We will hopefully have this corrected, tested, and released within a week. We also noticed our Shortcuts disappeared as well, so we are fixing that too.

    I also just updated and found the same. I wholly expected this to already be on track for correction and I wasn't disappointed!  Great product and was reminded of APP functionality as I was being dropped off last night. I hadn't updated the iOS, but was very happy to get the garage open before pulling into the Driveway! Great Job and support again!

    Best guess at this point is 2 weeks, so end of the month. The challenge is that Apple completely changed the way widgets are made now, so we had to write quite a bit of code for this. We already have it working in alpha versions of the app so end of the month should be doable for a full release.

    I noted this morning the app was updated.  I was able to get the shortcut and widget added.  I was however unable to get a widget added to locked screen to be able to quickly control garage door and see the current state of it.  I have emailed Scott for help.  

    If anyone else is able to figure that out, please do share.

    App update was released a few hours ago. Lock screen widget is not supported at this time. I've asked about this. Home screen widget is now available.

    I have a friend with an iPhone that I setup Tailwind for on her gate and garage door. I added the widget to her phone the other day, but it only shows the gate. Is there a way to have both the gate and garage door on the widgets screen?

    Hi TJ,

    No. The widget only displays doors / gates connected to one controller. You can choose which controller is displayed in the widget in the Tailwind app settings menu.
