Garage Door Opening Inconsistency
In a car and phone bluetooth connected to the car (Uconnect) and the distant at which the garage door opens varies enormously. From the regular 50ft or so (85%), to having to sit in front of the door for several second (5%), to just not at all (10%).
What is the variable driving this? Cell-phone reception and cell-phone GPS positioning. Home Wi-Fi reconnect? It very frustrating. Thanks

I will give you a quick rundown of my setup. I live in a small condo complex 39 units arranged in U with both exit to the street. I have end unit on the East side. When I enter on the east side i need to get to #4 before the door start to open. When I use that entrance I know that I should adjust my driving to match the door. Now when I use the west entrance once i clear the block of units i can see my door start to open and when i get around the bend door is open and I drive in. It has only failed to open 5 - 6 times in the 15 months I've had. It works far better than my opener remote. There is one other thing on of the guys in bought one of those huge LED bulbs. for his garage ceiling it is so bright I thought he was welding. So i hope this helps, Harold

Thanks Harold. I was really trying to understand what technical approach is being used to make the decision to open the door - is it GPS position from the cell-phone, the home Wi-fi reconnect or something else. Knowing that, might be better able to improve that particular method - better Wi-Fi or cellular coverage. Thanks
