In the app I suggest you make the garage icons a long press to open and close. It's too easy to accidentally press them and open or close the door unintentionally.

  That is a excellent idea especially when taking the trash out. I try to keep the auto close at 2 minutes which means the phone goes in the pocket and of course the icon gets hit and door operates.

  +1 for this one, please make it an option so people can keep the current behaviour if they choose so.
