Apple Watch cell shows wrong user

My daughter has a iPhone and a cellular Apple Watch. I made her an account so that I know when she opens it. It seems that if she uses her phone the history will show her as the one who opened it. However if she uses the Apple Watch without the phone it shows that I opened to door. I do not see a setting in the Apple Watch and for some reason it is not taking the setting from the phone?
