On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard is it to physically disable the beep feature?
Not an owner yet, but looking to purchase. Beeping is currently the only reason why I haven't purchase yet, so I am considering physically disable the feature.
I understand about the laws and regulation and I take full responsible for my actions. Please feel free to remove this post if it's not appropriate.

Hi Frank,
If someone were theoretically interested in disabling it they would use a pointed tool to remove the 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the controller, exposing 4 phillips screws holding the housing together. Then they would power it up and send a door close command so they could locate the piezo buzzer on the circuit board. After that it would be up to them to determine how they wanted to disable that piezo buzzer, like covering it with something non-metallic to radically reduce the volume.
I suppose one could even take pliers to the piezo buzzer and crush it, but they would have to be pretty careful not to damage anything else on the board.
We cannot support a decision to do so obviously.
