installation of the adopter

i bought iq3 opener with adopter -I have only one garage door to operate -The coloring od the wires on the instructions is not same as one I got. The wires from the door sensor are  one white and one with red stripe and control module are  one white and one with black stripe-the colors are not same as in the instructions -Can you clarify

  Hi Kiran,

  There should be a separate piece of paper in with your order. On one side it contains wire colors for older wiring harnesses, and on the other side it contains the wire colors for the new wiring harnesses.

  Connect it this way:

  The sensor wires are pre-connected to the sensor for you.

  Red wire from adaptor -> White with blue stripe on control cable

  Green wire from adaptor -> White wire on control cable

  THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR FAST REPLY. for some reason I did not get the instructions-I did the wiring as per your instructions.

  I am encountering another problem

  I have connected everything as per instructions and when I connected the wires from the controller to Lift master model 41D7675 the power to the door opener button is off(the light to the opener is turning off) and the opener is not working.( I could not open the door using the opener ) When I removed the wires from the controller the door is woking properly. Can you please suggest what can I do to correct the problem

  It sounds like you connected some wires to your garage door opener. I didn't say to do that.

  I said:

  Red wire from adaptor -> White with blue stripe on control cable

  Green wire from adaptor -> White wire on control cable

  I think you have connected some wires to the garage door opener somewhere. The instructions have a picture of the garage door opener terminals with a red X through them specifically stating to NOT make any connections to the garage door opener when using the adaptor.

  If you did connect wires to the opener you may have unfortunately caused damage to the adaptor I am not sure. Please follow the instructions I have provided and hopefully it still works.
